VERAL GH · CVD component coating furnace

NAURA ↗

The VERAL GH coats graphite components and SiC substrates with semiconductor-grade silicon carbide by chemical vapour deposition. NAURA places it in its photovoltaic catalogue as a furnace for coated parts.

NAURA's product page gives three furnace figures and describes the feed systems and the purity options. Coating thickness, adhesion and contamination figures for your part should be requested with the quotation.

General illustration of wafer processing equipment, not a photograph of this model. Ask the manufacturer for current photographs and layout drawings of the configuration offered.

START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK

Send NAURA your part drawings and coating targets, agree the precursor feed and exhaust interfaces, and accept the furnace on measured coated parts from a loaded run.

What the VERAL GH coats

NAURA describes semiconductor-grade SiC coating on graphite and on SiC substrates, with furnace designs offered at different purity and cost levels. That makes the VERAL GH a source of coated components for a PV plant. Solar-cell passivation and contact films belong on NAURA's cell deposition equipment.

On the liquid side, the page describes inline treatment of polychlorosilane to cut inlet blockage and a flash-evaporation feed with a wide flow range. The solid-feed line has garbled material wording, so ask NAURA to name the solid material the feed supports. Automatic switching and even coating are described in words; request a thickness map for your part.

What to send with a VERAL GH enquiry

  • Part geometry and coverage

Drawings, faces to coat, holes and edges, fixtures and the dimensional change you can accept. Mark masked or hard-to-reach areas.

  • Coating targets

Thickness and its spread, contamination limits, adhesion and any surface or material criteria, each with the test method you will use.

  • Feed and plant

The precursor delivery, exhaust and effluent treatment, service and consumables NAURA will supply, plus a clear statement of the solid feed material.

Accept the furnace on a loaded coating run

  1. Fix part and recipe

Approve the graphite or substrate grade, part geometry, coating specification and the feed system in the order.

  2. Measure the furnace

Test temperature conditions with a load in place, and run the cold ultimate-vacuum test as a separate measurement.

  3. Check coated parts

Measure coverage, thickness and material properties at agreed faces and positions, keeping witness samples where useful.

  4. Run it in service

Log accepted parts, inlet blockages and cleaning, stops, and the feed and recovery procedures over the trial.

VERAL GH buyer questions

Can the VERAL GH deposit solar-cell films?

NAURA describes it for CVD coating of graphite components and substrates. For cell films, ask NAURA about its cell deposition and diffusion equipment.

Does ±10°C tell me how even the coating will be?

That figure covers furnace temperature. Coating spread has to be measured on loaded parts, so ask for a thickness map at agreed points.

Can it apply tantalum carbide?

The solid-feed wording on the page is garbled and names no clear material. If you need tantalum carbide or another solid precursor, ask NAURA to confirm it in writing before quoting.
