Where the tube sits in OPAL's range
OPAL files the quartz furnace tube under diffusion quartz. Boats, cage boats, carriers, bases and insulation parts each have their own entries in that group. Ask the quotation to say which of them are included and whether their dimensions match one another.
OPAL started in PV quartz and later grew into semiconductor parts. The tube page itself lists no wafer format, diameter or port layout, so your furnace drawing sets the size and the format. Inside the tube, wafers receive the doping step of solar cell production, so tube cleanliness matters to each batch.

Tube replacement
Check the mechanical and process interface for this tube, with the equipment revision and the assemblies that join it.
Wafer loading
Settle wafer and boat geometry on their own. The 12-inch label on OPAL's boat tells you nothing about tube capacity or a usual PV loading pattern.
Complete diffusion tool
Recipe control, heating, gas delivery, loading automation and accepted output belong to a complete-tool order, which the tube listing leaves out.

Accepting the tube: drawing, shipment, installation
Clear drawing exceptions first
Mark the critical interfaces and allowed variation, and have OPAL send back any exception to the drawing before it starts work.
Fix incoming checks before shipment
Agree dimension and surface inspection, handling and packaging, and the material and cleaning papers. If you need a leak check, name it and its method in the order.
Let the tool owner approve the installed tube
Confirm fit and the planned thermal, gas and cleaning duty with whoever runs the receiving equipment, and agree any sample or process trial.

Questions buyers ask about the OPAL furnace tube
Does OPAL publish purity, temperature or lifetime figures for the tube?
No. Ask OPAL for the exact quartz grade and the operating conditions it proposes for your furnace.
Does the 12-inch boat mean this tube takes my PV cells?
No. The boat is a different catalogue entry. Your wafer format, boat drawing, tube dimensions and loading interfaces need a fit check of their own.
Is the tube sold with its boat, insulation and furnace controls?
OPAL lists these as separate parts. The quotation should name every included item and any complete-tool supply.
Has this tube been tested in a furnace?
No installed test or outside acceptance result is reported for it. Plan a sample or process trial with OPAL and the furnace owner.
