Hangzhou Zhijiang Silicone Chemicals ↗JS-606 PLUS is an oxime-cure silicone that Zhijiang sells for bonding PV aluminium frames and junction boxes. Plan around your real joint, surfaces and handling sequence. Box potting uses Zhijiang's JS-1184 family instead.

Where JS-606 PLUS goes on a module
Frame bonding
Zhijiang lists PLUS for bonding and sealing PV aluminium frames. Bring the frame coating, laminate edge and joint drawing to the first meeting so preparation and bead size can be chosen.
Junction-box attachment
PLUS also fixes junction boxes, and the page names composite backsheet and PPO among its substrates. Check adhesion on your own backsheet treatment; filling the box is a potting job for another grade.
Sister grades
PLUS cures by oxime release, CHUN by alcohol release, and D is a two-part grade mixed 1:1. Each has its own cure data and dispensing rules.

Line trial for bead and surface preparation
Fix surfaces and joint size
Write down the aluminium coating, glass, backsheet and box materials, any treatment, the gap and the bead drawing. Ask Zhijiang for compatibility and adhesion guidance on that exact set.
Approve cleaning and safety data
Zhijiang names some solvents as examples. Get the current SDS and confirm with Zhijiang and your equipment maker which solvent, wipe routine and primer, if any, suit your parts.
Log the dispensing run
Use a traceable PLUS lot on your own dispenser. Note bead size, nozzle, room temperature and humidity and the machine settings. The 20 g lab extrusion figure describes flow, while line output depends on your equipment.
Set handling and cure release
Decide when the module may be moved and what cure and adhesion results release it. Load-bearing strength is measured on the joint; a tack-free surface and catalogue cure depth are early signs only.
Keep ageing and change records
Agree module-stack and environmental tests with engineering. Store approved samples and records, and review any change in formula, substrate, equipment or pack before the next production run.

Temperature range, ageing tests and the standard plan
Zhijiang states a service range of −40 to 180°C and says PLUS passed double-85, ageing and thermal cycling tests. Durations, cycle counts and specimen build are missing from the web page. Ask for the full test report and, if possible, results on a joint like yours.
Zhijiang is named as a drafter in consultation-stage plan 20253706-T-606 for PV silicone sealants. The revised standard has not yet been published. For your order, ask for the certificates PLUS holds today, and agree warranty terms and expected service life in the contract.

Packs, storage and what to put in the quotation request
Grade and colour
Order JS-606 PLUS by its controlled revision and pack label, in white, black or a custom colour if Zhijiang offers one.
Pack and dispenser
Zhijiang lists 310 mL cartridges, 400 mL soft packs, five-gallon plastic pails and 55-gallon steel drums. Match the pack to your dispensing equipment and order size.
Storage and shelf life
Zhijiang specifies cool, dry storage and a 12-month shelf life. Ask for the storage temperature, sealed and opened handling and dates of manufacture and expiry on each lot.
Documents
Current TDS, SDS, certificate annex and adhesion instructions, sent through Zhijiang's normal channel with the quote.
Trial and release terms
Attach the joint drawing, substrates and the acceptance tests you need. Agree lot traceability, lead time, price and change notice.

Eight minutes is the typical tack-free time in the lab. Handling time for your joint comes from your own line trial.
Can PLUS replace potting compound inside the box?
PLUS is sold for bonding and sealing. Zhijiang offers the JS-1184 family for potting.
