Company scope
What the company makes
Hangzhou Hikrobot runs three product lines: machine vision, mobile robots and articulated robots. For a PV plant the line to look at is the CMR transfer robot series, where Hikrobot publishes a version built for the crystal-bar slicing hall.
That robot handles material around the slicer. It moves bars, loads them onto the machine and unloads what comes off. The wire saw itself is a separate purchase from a separate supplier.
Your quote will depend on the bar fixture and the loading geometry at your machines. If the project also needs vision systems, dispatch software or other Hikrobot robots, list them as separate line items so each one is priced and accepted on its own terms.

A robot designed to swap bars at the slicer
Gripping arm plus two storage positions
Hikrobot's CMR page shows a PV series made for moving crystal bars and for loading and unloading slicing machines. It carries its own clamping arm that picks a bar and transfers it. Two storage positions let it arrive with a full bar and leave with the empty one. A general warehouse AMR that just carries a pallet cannot do that job. When you size it, look at how the bar is supported, where the arm touches it, where its centre of gravity sits and at what height the transfer happens. Exchange time and the list of compatible slicers are numbers to get from Hikrobot for your own machines. [1]
Built for a wet, wire-strewn floor
Hikrobot says the vehicle is protected against dust and water and that its chassis is laid out to avoid catching diamond wire. Across the CMR range it offers custom load, size, structure, height and cleanliness. If your hall needs a stated IP rating or a cleanliness class, put it in the enquiry and ask for it on the datasheet. Plan the site trial on your own floor, with its residue, scrap wire, docking spots and cleaning schedule. A dry showroom floor tells you little about how the robot will run in a slicing hall. [1]
Getting there and lining up are two jobs
The CMR page carries a table for the CHG-300L: a 300 kg rated load, VSLAM/QR code navigation and figures for stopping position. Those values describe that one model. The PV series is configurable, so ask for the table that matches the unit you are offered. Driving to the slicer is one task; lining the gripper up with the fixture is another. Ask how the offered model docks, then watch it transfer onto your real fixture, including an exchange that is stopped halfway and restarted safely. [1]
2023 CNINFO filing
Hikrobot is its own legal company
What the September 2023 prospectus tells a buyer
An application prospectus dated September 2023 and hosted on CNINFO names the company as Hangzhou Hikrobot Co., LTD. Its definitions trace the earlier limited-company form and set Hikrobot apart from Hikvision, which the document calls its direct controlling shareholder. The cover notes that the listing application still had procedures to complete. Use it to check the legal name on a contract and the company history. For the current listing status, or any certificate covering the crystal-bar robot, ask Hikrobot directly. [3]
Project fit
Match the offering to your project
A good match for a plant that wants robots to move crystal bars and load slicers, and that already knows its docking geometry and how full and empty fixtures should be swapped.
The CMR page also shows an automotive installation. For a PV order, ask Hikrobot for a reference site that uses your type of bar and slicer interface, and for permission to contact it.
Confirm before ordering
- Which model is offered, with which gripping fixture, docking heights and handling limit, written into a signed interface specification.
- The protection ratings and safety assessment for the PV configuration, plus the result of a full exchange-cycle trial.
- A PV transfer reference of its own, since the vision products and the automotive case come from other applications.
Built from Hikrobot's CMR series page, its company overview and its 2023 CNINFO filing; model figures belong to the model named.

Buyer questions
Does the robot cut the silicon bar?
No. The PV CMR series carries bars and loads or unloads the slicing machine. You buy the cutting machine separately. [1]
Is the automotive case on the CMR page relevant to a PV slicer?
It shows a different application. For PV, ask Hikrobot for a reference that matches your bar fixture and loading geometry. [1]
How should an ingot-transfer trial differ from a general robot demo?
Run it with your real ingot fixture, docking interfaces and exchange order at the PV station. Check alignment, how the bar is held, tracking and recovery from a stopped transfer, together with the team that runs the station. A demo with another payload or another robot family tells you little about this configuration.
