What the company makes
Yitong Tech, registered in Chinese as 保定易通光伏科技股份有限公司, designs, makes and sells photovoltaic ribbon, busbar and junction boxes. Its Chinese and English company pages both give 2005 as the founding year. The current catalogue pairs every product with a webpage and a downloadable drawing or data sheet, which gives engineers a practical place to start a selection.
The four catalogue items solve different problems. The flat ribbon has a copper substrate under a Sn60Pb40 coating. The low-temperature round ribbon is a round wire with a coating melting range of 118–165°C. The ultrathin busbar carries a much thinner coating and has its own mechanical limits. The split junction box is an electrical assembly with diodes, cable, connectors and potting, so it follows a separate qualification path from the ribbons. Units, tolerances and melting figures vary between the sheets, so compare each product on its own sheet.
Company scale figures differ by language. The Chinese introduction gives 8 GW of capacity and shipments above 30 GW, while the English version gives 6 GW and above 25 GW. The English text also mentions a link with Yingli that the Chinese text leaves out. A 2015 national standards plan lists the same Chinese company on a solar wafer-cutting glass project. For an order, ask Yitong for current capacity on your product, its present ownership and the company that will sign the contract.
The contact page puts the factory in Changgucheng Industrial Zone, Tangxian County, while the product sheets print 888 Tangwang Road. Ask which address and producing site will be named on the purchase order and on lot documents.

Three places where Yitong's documents differ
Two capacity figures
The Chinese page gives 8 GW and the English page 6 GW. Ask for a dated capacity figure for the line and product you are buying. A module-equivalent GW number tells you little about ribbon kilograms or box pieces per month. [1][2]

How to qualify Yitong ribbon and boxes for your line
Describe the cell and stringer
For ribbon, send the cell metallization and pad dimensions, the geometry you need, your flux and the heat the cell can tolerate. Ask Yitong for the exact alloy, coating and reel drawing, since a general low-temperature label is too broad to order from. [4][5][6]
Run and record a material trial
Agree how tensile strength, elongation, coating thickness, solderability and dimensions will be measured. Trial on your own line and log the lot number, soldering settings and joint results. Cell yield comes out of that trial, with the catalogue figures as the starting point. [8][9][10]
Fix the junction box configuration
For the box, define module current, ribbon exits, cable and connector pair, diode option, housing drawing and potting process. Ask for the matching certificate annex together with module-level thermal and insulation test reports. [11]
Lock down delivery identity
Name the contracting company, producing-site address, lot documents, pack marking and change notification in the contract. The website and the data sheets carry different addresses, so settle this early. [3][8]

A 2015 standards project
The national standards platform names the Chinese company in a 2015 plan for solar wafer-cutting glass. It shows Yitong took part in standards work at that time. The project covers glass, so ribbon test reports and box certificates have to be requested on their own. [12]
