EQUIPMENT SERIES

Ideal Energy PV PECVD equipment family

Ideal Energy (Shanghai) Sunflower ↗

A PECVD family for solar cell layers, built around large multilayer chambers and fast vacuum transfer, with a choice of two RF frequencies.

Based on Ideal Energy's PECVD product page. Ask for the chamber and model table, wafer thickness limits, film uniformity, deposition rate, gas recipe and sustained output for your configuration.

General illustration of cell production equipment, not a photograph of this model. Ask the manufacturer for current photographs and layout drawings of the configuration offered.

START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK

Pick the cell and film stack, choose the RF and chamber set-up with Ideal Energy, then accept the tool on measured film, wafer and cell results at full load. Ask the company to confirm in writing the model specification and the basis of any efficiency figure it quotes.

Chamber, transfer and RF design

Ideal Energy describes large plasma-reaction chambers that hold several layers of wafers, a dual-vacuum reactor and rapid wafer transfer without breaking vacuum. The plasma is said to stabilise quickly, and buyers can choose 13.56 MHz or 40.68 MHz RF. The page ties neither option to a model number or a layer recipe, so ask which combination Ideal Energy proposes for your stack.

Ideal Energy also quotes efficiency records that clients reached on HJT, HBC and tandem cells, with outside institutes named as the testers. If you weigh those numbers, request the reports with device and measurement details. Average production efficiency, yield and yearly capacity belong in your own contract terms.

What to send for a PECVD quotation

  • Cell and layer stack

Cell architecture, wafer format, thickness and incoming condition, the films you need and their electrical and optical targets. Say which recipes already run and which need development. For recipes still in development, Ideal Energy offers trial runs on its R&D PECVD at the Lingang HJT laboratory.

  • RF and loading

Ask for the proposed RF and chamber choice, loading, carriers and transfer interfaces, and how sensing, calibration and uniformity are held at that load.

  • Gases and site

Request the process-gas, vacuum, exhaust and utility list for the chosen set-up, with on-site safety duties and access for maintenance.

Accept films first, then cells, then output

  1. Freeze the set-up

Sign off the model, chamber, RF, load and material package, and name who owns the recipe.

  2. Measure the films

Check thickness, uniformity and the agreed film properties with fixed sampling and metrology. Log the input material and process conditions.

  3. Test wafers and cells

Inspect for handling and plasma damage, then test cells by the agreed method. Your own results decide acceptance, whatever the client records say.

  4. Run at production pace

Measure accepted output and yield on the agreed formats. Try transfer faults, vacuum or process interruptions, restarts and reject handling.

Ideal Energy PECVD questions

Does picking an RF frequency set the whole recipe?

No. Film stack, reactor set-up, materials and process settings form a separate package that Ideal Energy should quote.

Can I see the institute reports behind the client records?

Ask Ideal Energy for them, together with the cell structures and measurement conditions, before you rely on the figures.

Is there a full model specification?

The product page has none, and some older detail images there no longer display. Request an up-to-date data sheet for the exact tool you are buying.
