Selection considerations
What this material does
Silver powder is the main conductive ingredient in the pastes that form front and rear contacts on crystalline cells. A paste maker blends it with glass frit and an organic vehicle; the cell maker prints that paste on metallization equipment and fires it so the contacts reach the silicon through the passivation layers built on deposition systems. Powder behaviour therefore shows up in printing, firing, contact resistance and line width, all within cell production. Later, ribbon from the PV ribbon and busbar materials class is soldered onto those contacts on a cell stringer, so pad adhesion matters too.
The listed supplier
Ningbo Jingxin Electronic Materials offers a PV silver-powder feedstock family for conductive-paste production. The catalogue lists several particle shapes, and the spherical grade is the best documented visually. Chemistry and size distribution for a given lot come on the grade sheet and certificate, so ask for both with every sample.
Who should buy and what to compare
Most cell factories buy finished paste; silver powder is normally bought by paste formulators or by cell makers who blend their own. If that is you, compare offers on:
particle shape, size distribution and tap density, measured by an agreed method;
surface coating and how it behaves in your organic vehicle;
lot-to-lot spread, and how the maker controls it across production batches;
packaging and moisture protection during shipping and storage.
How to qualify a grade
Name the electrode you are making and the paste formula it goes into. Then run a small paste batch, print it on a line like the Maxwell metallization line, and compare finished cell results against your current powder under the same firing profile. The material qualification guide sets out how to lock a grade once it passes, and the note on cell technology compatibility explains why a low-temperature HJT paste and a fired TOPCon paste need different powders. Ask the maker to keep the qualified grade and process unchanged, and to notify you before any change to raw silver source or coating.
Plan the equipment scope
Identify the production step, cell or module format and output unit before comparing equipment. Use the listed source, scope and specifications to prepare a configuration-specific enquiry. Missing values are left unspecified and do not count as exact filter matches.
Silver powder for PV conductive paste, offered in flake, spherical, nano and single-crystal grades. Jingxin supplies the conductive ingredient and you or your paste supplier formulate it. Choose by electrode and cell type, then request the grade sheet, a lot certificate and samples for a print-and-fire trial.
