Zhejiang CHINT Xinhui Photovoltaic
浙江正泰鑫辉光伏有限公司
CHINT Xinhui, based in Yueqing, builds PV junction boxes, connectors and harnesses for module makers. Its PV-HBE4x laser-weld box treats the laser ribbon joint, the resistance-welded cable and the enclosure seal as distinct steps, and each order should name one subtype from the instruction.

Company scope
What the company makes
浙江正泰鑫辉光伏有限公司 (Zhejiang CHINT Xinhui Photovoltaic) runs the CHINT Xinhui website and sells PV harnesses, PV connectors and module junction boxes. According to the company, Zhejiang CHINT Electrics and Zhejiang Xinhui Photovoltaic Technology founded it jointly. Zhejiang Xinhui is a legal entity of its own, so the quotation should name the company that signs the contract and the plant that builds the box. The CHINT Electrics 2023 interim report lists Zhejiang CHINT Xinhui by its full name. Current ownership shares and production approvals are questions for the seller.
The junction-box catalogue puts the PV-HBE4x label on six branches: regular, marine, high-voltage, laser-weld, quarter-cell and modular. Each branch has its own ratings and construction. The laser-weld branch ships with a fifteen-page instruction, and it is the box described in detail below.
The instruction shows a plastic barrier standing above the copper terminal, separate laser and solder zones, an air-release cavity beside the cable exit and a bent cable-welding area kept apart from the laser zone. A module plant can build its joining and sealing trials around these features. Laser settings, yield figures and repair limits will come from your own trials and the factory's process documents.
The webpage shows 25A, 30A and 35A. The instruction stops at 25A and 30A subtypes. The two documents also give different flame classes, so ask CHINT Xinhui which one governs your order. The contact page offers a group service mailbox instead of a PV sales desk; ask for a named PV contact with your first enquiry.

PV-HBE4x laser-weld module junction-box series →
PV-HBE4x laser-weld is a three-box module junction box from CHINT Xinhui. Every copper terminal offers a laser zone for the ribbon and a reserved solder zone for rework. The instruction defines four subtypes at 1000V or 1500V and 25A or 30A, all… [2]

CHINT Xinhui, its founding partner and the PV product range
Name the legal entity on the quote
CHINT Xinhui says CHINT Electrics and Zhejiang Xinhui founded the business together, and the 2023 CHINT Electrics interim report carries the full CHINT Xinhui name. Ask which company sells, which one builds and which site releases your boxes. Standard-drafting work credited to Zhejiang Xinhui belongs to that partner. [1][5]
Same label, different boxes
Pick the laser-weld branch before comparing ratings
| Branch | Listed rating or difference | How it relates to the laser-weld box |
|---|---|---|
| Regular | 1500V; 4mm²/12AWG | A different box; the laser-weld instruction covers none of it. |
| High-voltage | 2000V | Its 2000V rating belongs to that branch only. |
| Marine | 1000V/1500V; separate entry | Order marine documents only with the marine branch. |
| Laser-weld | 1000V/1500V; 4–6mm²/12–10AWG on the webpage | The featured box; its instruction covers a narrower range. |
| Modular / quarter-cell | Separate entries and constructions | Quote their current and dimensions from their own entries. |
Fix the exact variant, diode and construction in the order, and ask CHINT Xinhui to approve any swap within the family in writing. [4][2][3]
Three joining methods
Laser, resistance and ultrasonic joints each do a different job
Ribbon to terminal
Each copper terminal has a laser zone and a reserved solder zone. A plastic bar rises 2.4mm above the terminal surface to keep weld heat and slag off the inner wall. Agree the ribbon, the laser equipment and the joint acceptance criteria with the factory, because the instruction gives no laser power or cycle time. [3]
Cable to conductor
Resistance welding joins the cable to its conductor in a bent area set apart from the laser zone. Ultrasonic locking then holds the cable exit in the body. Neither step tells you how to laser-weld the ribbon. [3]
Potting and attachment
An air-release cavity and a hollow terminal support help the potting flow in. About 11.5mL of adhesive goes on the shaded attachment areas, while internal filling stops at a marked maximum plane. Treat these as two instructions, and ask for the cure schedule and total potting volume, which the manual leaves out. [3]
From sample to approved assembly
Getting a CHINT Xinhui box approved on your module
Fix subtype and current
The instruction maps x=5 and x=6 to 1000V at 25A and 30A, and x=7 and x=8 to 1500V at 25A and 30A. Choose one subtype and its diode. A 35A order needs its own document from the factory. [3][2]
Collect the safety documents
Ask for current certificate numbers together with the factory and variant annexes that match your construction. The standards listed in the instruction and the certification lines on the website tell you which certificates to request. [1][3]
Trial joining and sealing together
Set checks for the ribbon joint, the bonding surface, filling with air release, and cure before release. Ask whether solder repair in the reserved zone is allowed under the approved process and how each rework gets recorded. [3]
Keep the configuration traceable
Record box positions, diode, resin, contacts, cable and the mating connector pair against drawing and process revisions. Agree delivery terms, lot records and change notice. Stock, yield and throughput are figures for the factory to quote. [3][6]
Project fit
Match the offering to your project
Module makers adding laser ribbon joining to a defined junction-box assembly.
Engineering teams that want a named voltage and current subtype instead of the broad PV-HBE4x family.
Buyers who plan to qualify attachment, filling and approved rework in one trial.
Confirm before ordering
- Which document governs 35A, 6mm² cable and the flame class, since the webpage and the instruction disagree.
- Current certificate annexes for your model and producing site, plus the laser and cure settings the factory has validated.
- The contracting company, the producing site and the results of your own samples.

Continue to sourcing requestBuyer questions
Does the instruction include a 35A box?
No. Only the webpage lists 35A; the instruction stops at 25A and 30A. Ask CHINT Xinhui for documents written for the 35A version. [2][3]
Is 11.5mL the whole potting dose?
That figure is for the shaded attachment areas. Internal filling follows its own limit plane, so plan the two amounts separately. [3]
Is every joint laser welded?
No. Ribbons go to a laser or solder zone, the cable is resistance welded and the cable exit is locked ultrasonically. [3]
