HORAD junction-box lid snap-fitting station
Suzhou HORAD New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. ↗This station closes junction boxes after potting. Servo correction squares the panel, lids feed in without stopping the machine, and two robots work in parallel so placing and capping overlap.
HORAD gives the robot arrangement, the three detection routes, panel sizes, electrical and air supply, footprint and weight. It lists no lid and box models, pressing force window, latch criterion or cycle time; request those with the quote. Lid capping is one of the last junction-box steps in module assembly.
General illustration of module assembly equipment, not a photograph of this model. Ask the manufacturer for current photographs and layout drawings of the configuration offered.
START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK
Suited to lines still pressing junction-box lids by hand. Send HORAD your lid and box drawings, define what a fully latched lid looks like, and test every detection route with lids that are missing, tilted or half seated. Lids go on once the potting compound has been dosed, so ask how long the compound must settle before the station presses down.

01 · Manufacturer information
Two robots, three checks
HORAD describes automatic snap fitting of the lid, servo correction of the panel position and lid loading that continues while the station runs. Because there are two robots, one can set down material while the other presses a lid, and pressure sensing on the robot closes the control loop.
Three checks follow: vacuum detection, an upper camera and a side camera that reinspects the box. Each one can catch a different fault, yet HORAD does not say which faults each covers, what thresholds apply or where rejects go. HORAD also says it suits various lids, so ask for the box and lid models it has been set up for and agree a latch check that sits alongside the pressure reading.

Capping station data and what to define
| Item | HORAD figure | Define with HORAD |
|---|---|---|
| Robots | Dual robots; placing and capping at once | Lid feed and the motion sequence on a drawing. |
| Detection | Vacuum, upper camera, side reinspection camera | Fault types each one catches and how rejects are handled. |
| Panel size | 1650–2550 × 990–1450 mm | Box positions on each format. |
| Electrical supply / power | AC380 V, 3P/1N/1PE / 5 kW | Connection details and running load. |
| Air pressure | 0.5–0.8 MPa | Volume and dryness at the grippers. |
| Machine size, L × H × W / weight | 3060 × 2000 × 2300 mm / 1.7 T | Room to refill lids, guard the cell and service the robots. |

What a closed box means for your order
Exact lid and box
Share drawings, materials, latch design and how lids arrive at the station. Ask which grippers and tooling come with it and how model changes are made.
Seating and force
Set the latch engagement or gap you accept and the force the lid and box can take. Ask how force is measured and what happens to a cracked or half-seated lid.
Fault samples
Prepare missing, tilted, wrong-model, half-seated and broken-latch samples. Agree which check catches each and how each decision is logged.

Capping trial
Fix the configuration
Agree the lid and box models, feeder layout, robot tooling and where the robot may touch.
Check latching
Cap real parts, measure latch and gap results and look for damage, logging the settings used.
Feed known faults
Run pickup and latch defects past the vacuum, top camera and side camera, and confirm rejects leave the line and the station recovers.
Starve and restart
Watch the parallel robot motion and lid refilling during operation. Run out of lids, stop a capping cycle part-way and keep first-piece checks after every model change.

Lid capping questions
Does pressure feedback mean every latch has clicked in?
Pressure sensing controls the press. Define latch engagement and check it on its own.
How accurate are the three checks?
HORAD gives no detection rates. Measure them with known faulty lids.
Will it cap any lid?
HORAD names no supported lid list. Trial your exact box and lid pair.
