EQUIPMENT SERIES
HORAD configurable PV module packing line
Suzhou HORAD New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. ↗The packing line sits at the very end of a HORAD module line. Modules come in, get scanned, are turned to the packing orientation, strapped, protected and wrapped, and leave as stacked pallets.
HORAD publishes a list of station names. Package dimensions, throughput, utilities, layout and shipment-test results are absent from the page, so ask for them together with the station sequence HORAD proposes for your package.

START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK
Right for factories that want to automate packing around a fixed shipment unit. Settle the package and module orientation, choose stations and staff the boxing step, then test complete packed units and their labels at a sustained rate.

Stations HORAD lists, including one manual step
HORAD describes the line as automated, compact, efficient and compatible with many module and pallet types. The stations named are module loading with a barcode scanner, strapping along the long edge, short edge or horizontally, vertical and horizontal flippers, wooden-pallet loading, metal-pallet unloading and manual boxing. On a HORAD line, the grade-driven sorting system can feed it modules already grouped by grade.
Further down come protector loading in several combinations, film covering, film wrapping, automatic pallet stacking and module unloading. Some station names appear twice in HORAD's list; read them as one system and ask for the actual order of stations in your layout. Boxing is done by an operator, so plan staff for it from the start.

Labels and records
How serial and grade link to each package, what the label shows, what is logged per unit and what happens after a missed or mismatched scan. Check that the serial read here matches the one HORAD's label-verification station already confirmed.

Testing a packed pallet
Sign off package and scope
Freeze shipment drawings, materials, the station sequence and the operator's tasks.
Inspect what comes out
Count modules and check orientation, supports, straps, protectors, film and carton. Look for module damage and check each package carries the right serial numbers.
Put the package through handling
Run a packed unit through your agreed handling or transport test. An automated line tells you little about how well a pallet survives shipping.
Run at rate, then break things
Measure output with manual boxing, material refills and package changes included. Then try scan errors, empty material, a blocked exit and a package stopped halfway.

Packing line questions
Does the line need operators?
Yes for boxing, which HORAD lists as a manual station. Confirm staffing for refills and any other steps you choose.
Do repeated station names mean extra machines?
HORAD's overview repeats some names without separate specs. Ask for the station list exactly as it will appear on your layout.
Is a packing rate published?
No rate or shipping test result is given. Ask for the system specification and test a finished package.
Is the list the order the stations run in?
Ask HORAD to confirm in writing a layout and scope drawing that sets the real sequence and options for your order.
