EQUIPMENT SERIES
Ideal Energy PV sputtering equipment family
Ideal Energy (Shanghai) Sunflower ↗A sputtering family for solar cell films with big target tubes, strong magnets, separate atmosphere zones and moisture control on the carriers.
Based on Ideal Energy's PVD product page. Target chemistry and size, sputtering power, vacuum and gas ranges, film results, cycle time and utilities come with a quote for your configuration.
General illustration of cell production equipment, not a photograph of this model. Ask the manufacturer for current photographs and layout drawings of the configuration offered.
START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK
Fix the target materials and film requirements, choose the zone and carrier set-up, and accept on film uniformity, electrical and optical results and maintenance at the agreed load. Ask Ideal Energy to confirm in writing how target life and field strength were measured.

How the sputtering tool is built
The target tubes are large in span and diameter, and Ideal Energy gives a use period of more than 30 days. Its magnetic rods produce a field above 1300 gauss at the target surface, which the company says raises ionization and lowers both impedance and sputtering voltage. Ask for the operating load and measuring point behind both figures.
Several atmosphere sections are isolated from each other and can be adjusted on their own, which the company relates to tandem-film work and indium-free targets. Carriers pass several cold traps and return in a closed loop to keep moisture out. For maintenance, the lid opens automatically and can be handled without an overhead crane. Request a material matrix and the maintenance plan for your stack. Trial films can be run first at Ideal Energy's HJT laboratory in Lingang, which lists sputtering among its tools.

Target-to-film order details
Targets and stack
Send target materials, wafer or substrate condition and film sequence, and ask Ideal Energy which target and zone set-up matches them. If your stack also needs plasma-deposited layers, Ideal Energy quotes its PECVD family separately for those steps.
Film targets
Set thickness, uniformity and electrical and optical properties with sampling and metrology. The magnetic-field figure alone will not tell you these.
Gas and carriers
Specify gas separation, carrier material and return path, and moisture or contamination limits. Ask for the vacuum, exhaust and control scope.
Service
Agree how target life is counted, replacement targets, cold-trap service and safe lid access, plus utilities and who maintains what.

Sputtering trial plan
Lock the configuration
Fix targets, zones, carriers and the film requirements of your cell.
Measure films and wafers
Check the agreed film properties and look for wafer or surface damage, with conditions recorded.
Check zones and moisture
Test gas isolation and moisture and contamination control with agreed methods and numeric limits.
Prove service and output
Run the agreed load and cycle, log the target-life assumptions and show a full service and recovery. Keep approved material and recipe changes on file.

Ideal Energy PVD questions
Does 1300 gauss tell me the film quality?
It is a magnetic-field figure at the target surface. Film quality has to be measured on your own stack.
Will targets last more than 30 days on every material?
Ideal Energy gives no operating basis or end-of-life point for that figure. Ask for one and test it with your target and load.
Are indium-free films ready for my cell design?
The page mentions indium-free targets for development work and gives no device results. Run a trial on your cell design before ordering.
