EQUIPMENT MODEL

CLW-BT2787-D1 · Photovoltaic module laminator

Suzhou Calowen Automation Technology Co., Ltd. ↗

The CLW-BT2787-D1 is Calowen's vacuum laminator for solar modules. It stores process settings, counts cycles and records temperature, vacuum and alarms, which lets you link each laminate to the cycle that made it. How good the laminate is still depends on your module stack and the acceptance method you agree.

One named model. Its listed size, weight and power drive your installation plan, so check them against the drawing supplied with the quote.

General illustration of module assembly equipment, not a photograph of this model. Ask the manufacturer for current photographs and layout drawings of the configuration offered.

START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK

Plan the installation and the recipe trial together. Size the power connection from the 580 kW rating, and ask Calowen to confirm in writing the drawing, utility schedule, machine condition and the acceptance test for finished modules.

Link each laminate to its cycle record

  1. Send your module stack

Give Calowen the glass, encapsulant and other layers, the module size and how modules will be loaded.

  2. Agree the cycle record

Ask how temperature, vacuum and alarm data are tagged to each cycle and whether you can export them.

  3. Inspect the laminate

Set defect and quality checks with your process team and file each result against its cycle record.

  4. Try a restart and a fault

Ask for the recovery instructions you will receive and a recorded demonstration that follows Calowen's approved procedure.

Cycle counts, maintenance and installation duties

Calowen says the cycle counter supports production and maintenance planning. A count on its own will not tell you when a membrane, seal or other wear part is due. Ask for inspection and replacement criteria for your configuration in the delivered manual.

Split the installation work before you order: utilities, loading equipment, building and foundation work, access and commissioning. If your machine differs from the catalogue model, ask Calowen to mark every changed value in the signed technical schedule.

New, used or custom: what each offer should include

  • New machine

The current drawing and utility revision, the building site, the controls and options supplied, and who runs the factory and site acceptance tests.

  • Used machine

Serial number, age, use and maintenance history, a condition report and any refurbishment or control changes. List the spare parts and support included.

  • Custom configuration

The number of chambers and layers, the usable module layout, loading interfaces and utilities for that machine. A different layout will have its own size and power figures, so ask for them in the quote.

CLW-BT2787-D1 buyer questions

Are the 580 kW and ≤255 kW figures interchangeable?

No. Calowen lists them as rated power and average working power. Ask it to confirm in writing the connection schedule and the conditions behind the average for your process.

Are 40.5 metres and 170 tonnes typing errors?

Calowen's current data sheet still gives those values. Ask for the drawing, installation plan and loading documents for the configuration you are offered.

Do the recorded curves mean my modules will pass?

Curves show what the machine did during a cycle. Module quality comes from your glass and film stack, the loaded recipe and the finished laminate checks you agree, so set those out in the contract.

Does the model name mean a new machine with every company certificate?

Calowen sells new and used machines. The offer should state the condition and revision, and each compliance document should name the machine and configuration it covers.
