HORAD module edge and corner trimming station
Suzhou HORAD New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. ↗HORAD's trimming station removes excess encapsulant from module edges and corners in a single station. Eight servo blade modules work together, each blade cylinder's pressure can be set on its own, and the blade type is matched to the film in your module.
HORAD gives ±1 mm for cylinder positioning. That says where the cylinder stops, not how much film overhang is left or how the corner looks. HORAD lists no tested film list, cut geometry, edge-damage limit or blade life in numbers.

01 · Manufacturer information
Film type sets the blade, pressure sets the cut
Edge trimming and corner trimming happen in the same station. HORAD chooses the blade type according to the film used in each module, and the pressure on every blade cylinder can be adjusted separately. For your line that means a fixed set of film, blade and settings tied to your laminate. Trimming comes after lamination, so the overhang the blades meet depends on the press recipe run on the module laminator upstream, for example HORAD's three-chamber laminator.
HORAD describes the cut as smooth, with no film sticking to the module, but gives no test or pass rule behind it. In the technical data, HORAD names eight servo-driven blade units, sets the cycle at 12 seconds and puts cylinder positioning at ±1 mm. Ask HORAD for a separate figure for overhang, corner radius and the quality of the cut face.

Trimmer specification
| Item | HORAD figure | Agree for your module |
|---|---|---|
| Blade modules / cycle | 8 servo modules / 12 seconds | Module size, cutting path and what the timing covers. |
| Cylinder positioning | ±1 mm | Reference point and conditions; the cut edge needs its own figure. |
| Panel size | 1650 × 990–2650 × 1500 mm | Which size pairs the trimmer accepts. |
| Supply / power / air | 380 V / 4 kW / 0.6–0.8 MPa | Load, air flow and how blade pressure is regulated. |
| Machine size, L × H × W | 3640 × 2400 × 1550 mm | Room for offcut removal, blade changes and service. |
| Weight | 2.2 T | Floor loading and transport. |

Describe the edge the framing station should get
Film and glass build
Give the encapsulant and backsheet build, thicknesses, how cured the laminate is and the glass-edge finish. Get HORAD's blade and tooling choice for that build in writing.
Target edge
Draw the allowed overhang, cut offset, corner shape and no-cut zones. Set limits for cut quality, residue, tearing and glass or module damage.
Pressure and blade rules
Ask for the pressure ranges and settings, when a blade is inspected or swapped, and what check follows any adjustment.
Offcuts
Say how trimmed film is collected and kept off the module, and how the machine notices a loose strip or a blade fault and recovers.

Trialling the trimmer from new blade to worn blade
Lock the cut drawing
Freeze the film build, blade kit and finished edge and corner drawing, each limit written as a number.
Cut every format
Measure edge and corner geometry, inspect the cut face and look for glass or module damage, noting the settings used.
Push pressure and wear
Trim with blades at agreed wear levels and after controlled pressure changes. Set swap rules and a first-module check instead of relying on the word smooth.
Time it and break it
Time the agreed operation, then stop a cut midway, jam an offcut and force a positioning error. Keep the accepted samples and the change procedure.

Edge and corner trimming questions
Is ±1 mm the tolerance on the trimmed edge?
HORAD gives it for cylinder positioning. Agree a separate limit for the finished edge.
Will one blade cut every film?
HORAD itself says the blade is picked by film, so name yours.
Does 12 seconds equal line output?
HORAD gives no sustained line rate. Measure with your format, loading and restarts included.
