Automatic string taping
Suzhou SC-Solar Equipment Co., Ltd. ↗After layup, this machine tapes the strings together so they hold their gaps on the way to lamination. SC-Solar quotes 14 seconds or less including infeed and outfeed, with controlled tape position and pressure.
Unusually for SC-Solar's tables, this cycle figure states that conveyor in and out are counted. It still leaves out the tape count, the pattern and any test data, so ask for the cycle on your own layout.

Holding the strings without cracking cells
The machine applies tape between strings, aligns the module on four sides and controls tape position and pressure. SC-Solar says it handles several taping methods and formats with fast changeover, and that pressure control is meant to avoid weak bonding and cell breakage. It lists no adhesive grade, pressure range, peel results or crack rate, so request them for your tape.
The 14-second cycle includes conveyor in and out, but the table gives no tape count, pattern, incoming string condition or allowance for roll changes. Measure string position after the module has moved downstream. Pick pressure and tape type with SC-Solar for your specific cell and adhesive.
