HORAD three-chamber PV laminator
Suzhou HORAD New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. ↗This is HORAD's large-format laminator for high-volume module lines. A load passes through three chambers one after another, and the machine can be built with one, two or three layers stacked to no more than 4.5 m.
HORAD publishes the layer and heating options, module size range, utilities, overall size and weight for one large build. Temperature, vacuum and pressure ranges, uniformity, cycle time, approved encapsulants and measured energy use come from HORAD with the quotation.
General illustration of module assembly equipment, not a photograph of this model. Ask the manufacturer for current photographs and layout drawings of the configuration offered.
START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK
Suited to lines with room for a 62 m machine. Pick the layer count and heating type first, ask for the table and layout drawing of that exact build, then approve recipes for your own module stack and measure chamber and module results at acceptance.
SOURCE-LINKED DATA
Published specifications
Values below are published by the manufacturer, each with the date its source was checked. Ask for the figures that apply to your configuration and material in the quotation.
The manufacturer has not published a complete specification table for this entry. Request the exact offered drawing and operating limits.

Layers, heating and pressing modes
You choose the build: a single, double or triple layer, with total height kept under 4.5 m, and electric, oil or electromagnetic heating. HORAD adds AI temperature control, which it says limits overshoot and saves energy. No control curve or energy comparison is published, so ask for one that matches the heating type you select.
The machine can press the traditional way or flat-press, and HORAD says it handles frameless double-glass modules. The English page also uses the term “plyboard pressing”; ask HORAD to show what that means on the tooling drawing. HORAD speaks of a wider process window and a lower discharge temperature without giving figures, so request the numbers that apply to your recipe.

Published figures and what to settle
| Item | HORAD figure | Settle for your order |
|---|---|---|
| Panel length / width | 1640–2550 / 990–1450 mm | Your module stack and loading pattern. |
| Electrical supply | AC380 V ±5%, 50 Hz | Electrical package for the build you choose. |
| Power | 800 kW | Connected power; energy per module is a separate figure to request. |
| Air pressure | 0.6–0.8 MPa | Flow, quality and the other utilities. |
| Machine size, L × H × W | 62000 × 3850 × 5400 mm | Full layout drawing for a line 62 m long. |

Three things to specify separately
Your module stack
Send the glass, cell, encapsulant and backsheet build and the recipe limits your materials need. Recipes follow your materials, so qualify them on this machine.
Chambers and tooling
Ask for the number of chambers and layers, the load pattern, membrane or flat-press tooling, the sensors, and the temperature, vacuum and pressure the build can hold.
Site and energy
Request the full layout, service space, foundation loads and the electrical, heating, vacuum and cooling connections. If energy savings matter to you, agree how and where energy will be metered.

Accepting the laminator on site
Lock the build
Sign off the layer and heating choice, the table and layout for that build and the recipe for each module type.
Measure the chambers
Check temperature, uniformity, vacuum and pressure with agreed instruments and methods. Judge the AI control by these readings.
Test laminated modules
Inspect and test modules made with the approved recipe, including their condition at discharge and during handling.
Run a long trial
Run agreed loads and cycles, log utilities and energy where required, and stop the process midway to check restart and reject handling.

Questions on the three-chamber laminator
Is 800 kW the energy used per module?
No. It is a power figure. Ask for energy per cycle or per module under a stated load.
Has HORAD published the AI control's savings?
No method or measured saving is given. Ask HORAD to confirm in writing how savings would be measured on your build.
Is 62,000 mm the length of every build?
It is the length in HORAD's table. Get drawings of the exact build before designing the building around it.
Does HORAD supply lamination recipes?
No recipe figures are published. Develop and qualify the recipe with your own materials and modules.
