HORAD EVA strip-placement station

Suzhou HORAD New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. ↗

HORAD's EVA strip-placement station cuts EVA strips from roll stock, lays them on the glass and fixes the short ends with hot-stamping heads. The table gives 10–50 mm for cutting length and 990–1450 mm for material width, so a strip drawing from HORAD is the quickest way to see which direction each figure measures.

HORAD publishes no film thickness, no hot-stamping temperature or time window and no maximum roll size for this station. Ask for all three with the quotation.

General illustration of module assembly equipment, not a photograph of this model. Ask the manufacturer for current photographs and layout drawings of the configuration offered.

START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK

Send HORAD your strip drawing and the EVA you actually use, agree the short-edge heat-fixing settings, then score the cut strips and their placement separately. For strips on all four module edges, HORAD's four-sided long strip placing machine is the related model.

How the strip placer cuts, lays and tacks

Film comes off the roll under constant tension, and a camera corrects its path before cutting. A servo stage squares the glass. The station then lays no more than three long strips and presses them down with three hot-stamping heads on each side of the short edge. Operators can move the stamping position and change the stamping time.

HORAD gives ±1 mm as placement accuracy. Cutting length reads 10–50 mm and material width reads 990–1450 mm. Together these suggest strips cut across wide stock, yet the page has no sketch of the axes. Ask HORAD which dimension runs along the feed and how it defines a long strip. The page also gives no cut tolerance and no heating recipe.

What the hot-stamped joint depends on

  • Strip and base film

Give HORAD the EVA grade and thickness of the strip and of the film it lands on. Agree with your process engineers how large the fused spot may be. If the base film comes from HORAD's EVA cutting and placing station, trial both films together.

  • Head layout and pressure

Mark where the three heads on each short-edge side touch down, relative to the strip and any keep-out zones on the module. Ask how hard they press and whether the film shifts.

  • Temperature and dwell

Request temperature and dwell limits proven on your own films. An adjustable position and time setting still needs a value that works for your stack. The fused spots also have to come through the laminator cycle without marking the module.

Trial plan for the strip placer

  1. Fix the strip drawing

Sign off the strip and roll drawing, the strip count and the layout first. Read the 10–50 mm figure against that drawing.

  2. Check cut pieces and position

Measure cut strips and their position on the glass for your formats, with full and nearly empty rolls. Set one tolerance for cutting and another for placement.

  3. Run heat-fixing samples

Log film, temperature, dwell and contact settings. Look at tack strength, wrinkles and any module damage against limits you agreed beforehand.

  4. Run a roll to its end

Let a roll run out, then restart and watch reject handling. Keep the approved film, head layout, settings and good samples on file.

EVA strip placer FAQ

Does ±1 mm describe cut length?

HORAD labels it placement accuracy. Agree a separate limit for cut length.

Is 10–50 mm the length of a long strip?

The page leaves the direction open. A strip drawing from HORAD will settle it.

Does HORAD supply a heat-fixing recipe?

Position and time are adjustable, but HORAD publishes no temperature or time values. Ask for settings proven on your EVA.
