HORAD EVA cutting and placement station
Suzhou HORAD New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. ↗This station feeds EVA from a roll at constant tension, corrects its path, cuts each sheet and lays it on the glass ahead of string layup. HORAD rates laying accuracy at ±1.5 mm and says a hot-melt splice joins a fresh roll in under 50 seconds without halting the line.
One product-family page from HORAD covers this station. It lists layup accuracy, roll-change time, glass format, utilities, footprint and weight. Film thickness range, roll diameter or mass, cut-length tolerance and a sustained cycle rate are left out, so ask for them with the quotation. HORAD's backsheet cutting and laying machine uses a similar tension feed and hot-melt splice for rear sheets.

START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK
Good fit if your line runs EVA on glass between 1650 and 2550 mm and you want roll changes without a stop. Send HORAD your film grade and roll package, run a trial on that film, and agree how placement is measured and what happens to the spliced length. If you need all four edges of each sheet trimmed, HORAD's precision EVA cutting station is the closer match.

How the film gets from roll to glass
Film leaves the roll through a synchronised feed held at constant tension, and an automatic corrector keeps it tracking straight. A servo unit squares up the glass and switches between formats. HORAD says it dropped a pre-discharge step from the sequence, which it credits for tighter placement.
When a roll runs out, a hot-melt joint splices the next one on. HORAD puts each change at under 50 seconds and says material swaps happen with the station still running. The page gives no buffer size or reject count for the spliced section, so ask how those two figures relate to output during a change.

Listed specifications and what to ask about each
| Item | HORAD figure | Ask for your order |
|---|---|---|
| Layup accuracy | ±1.5 mm | Which edge it is measured from, and under what film condition. |
| Roll change | Under 50 seconds per change | Where timing starts and stops, and how the buffer covers it. |
| Glass format | 1650–2550 × 990–1450 mm | Your exact module size and the film overhang you need. |
| Supply and power | 380 V / 18 kW | Installed load versus normal running draw. |
| Compressed air | 0.6–0.8 MPa | Air flow and air quality. |
| Footprint, labelled L × H × W | 7050 × 7100 × 3500 mm | A layout drawing; the height entry is unusually large, so check the axis order. |
| Weight | 9.3 T | Floor loading and shipping details. |

Three things that change the result on your line
Your film and roll
Give HORAD the EVA grade, film thickness, roll width, core size and any handling limits. If you plan to run POE or EPE as well, ask for a written material list, because the page names EVA only.
The spliced length
A hot-melt joint ends up somewhere in the film. Ask where it lands, how the machine marks it, and whether it is cut out or allowed into a module. Agree how the buffer keeps glass moving meanwhile.
Laying versus cutting
The ±1.5 mm figure describes where the sheet lands on the glass. Cut length, corner squareness and sheet shrinkage after handling each need their own tolerance in the contract. Where laid film tends to drift or wrinkle, HORAD's EVA flattening and fixing unit can sit straight after this station.

A factory trial in four runs
Fix film, drawing and formats
Agree the roll package, cut shape, overhang and every glass size you will run. Get HORAD's supported film range and cutting specification on paper.
Measure where sheets land
Lay your own film on your own glass across each format and at different points in the roll. Note wrinkles, skew and any size faults.
Run out a roll
Watch a real change: where the splice sits, whether output holds, and how long it takes. Count how much spliced film is scrapped.
Break it on purpose
Trigger an empty roll, a failed splice and a stop further down the line. Once it recovers cleanly, lock the film, recipe, setup and restart steps under change control.

Buyer questions on the EVA station
Is ±1.5 mm the cut-length tolerance?
HORAD gives it as laying accuracy. Ask for a separate cutting tolerance and how it is measured.
Does the sub-50-second change mean zero lost modules?
HORAD says changes happen without stopping, but lists no buffer size or splice scrap. Run a real change during the trial and agree the splice rule.
Can it run POE film?
The page covers EVA. Ask HORAD for a written material list and trial any other film before ordering.
Which dimension is the height?
HORAD labels the size L × H × W. Ask for the layout drawing so the axes are clear before planning floor space.
