HORAD grade-driven module sorting system

Suzhou HORAD New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. ↗

This station is the sorting end of a HORAD module line. It receives a grade for each module from upstream and carries the module to the position kept for that grade, either lying flat or inserted upright on its long or short edge.

HORAD lists three placement modes, servo positioning, utilities, the machine envelope and weight. Sorting and support positions are built to each customer's layout, so bin count, payload, cycle and the grade-data link come with the quotation.

START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK

A fit if you already grade modules upstream and want them sorted straight into packing positions. Before ordering, give HORAD your grade codes and pallet drawings, then run modules of known grade through every destination, including a full or blocked one.

What the sorter does with each module

Each module arrives with a grade already attached. The sorter reads that grade and moves the module to its matching position under servo control. HORAD offers three ways to set it down: lying horizontal, inserted vertically on the long side, or inserted vertically on the short side. Sorting and support positions are laid out for each customer.

The grade itself comes from your test and inspection stations further up the line. The sorter acts on the data it is given, so decide early which station issues the grade and how it travels with the serial number. HORAD says the machine suits current mainstream panels and packing methods; ask for the list of formats, weights and pallet types it has been set up for. HORAD's own electrical-test station is one source of a pass or fail flag, and its label-verification station confirms the serial that grade is filed under.

Information HORAD needs for a sorter quote

  • Grade table

List your grade codes, the destination for each, how a module is identified and where a module with missing or failed data should go.

  • Module and pallet drawings

Give format, mass, frame and glass type, separators and the pallet or rack design for each placement mode you want.

  • Destinations and stacking

State how many destinations you need, how many modules each one holds, how full and empty positions are detected and whether a buffer or pallet change is expected.

  • Sorting records

Say whether you need a record tying each serial number to its grade and final position, and how rejects are kept apart.

A sorting trial before acceptance

  1. Fix the drawings

Agree the modes, destination layout, supports and a set of modules whose grades you already know.

  2. Check every set-down

Look at orientation, contact points, separators and any damage to frames, glass or packing for each approved format and weight.

  3. Feed it bad data

Send wrong, missing, duplicated and changed grades. Each module should land in the agreed place and show up correctly in the record, beyond simply being picked.

  4. Fill and block positions

Run until positions fill, swap pallets and interrupt an insertion halfway. Agree how the operator clears a stuck module and restarts the sorter.

Questions buyers ask about the sorter

Does the sorter test module power?

No. It routes modules by the grade it receives. Power and quality grading happen at your test stations upstream.

Do I get all three placement modes?

HORAD lists all three as available. Ask that the quotation names the modes and support hardware you are buying.

How many sorting positions are there?

HORAD builds the positions to order and publishes no fixed count. Put the number and capacity of destinations in the contract.

What should HORAD put in writing?

Ask HORAD to confirm in writing the formats and masses supported, the destination count, the sorting rate and how grade data reaches the machine.
