EQUIPMENT SERIES
HORAD integrated string layup and busbar joining station
Suzhou HORAD New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. ↗Strings from the stringer are laid out, squared up and connected with busbar cut from a roll, and the finished array is inspected before it leaves. HORAD lists cells from 166 to 230 mm, 9BB to 24BB, and busbar in four fixed widths. Back-contact support and busbar folding or hot pressing are offered as modifications.
HORAD's page describes a machine family with no model code. It gives cell, string, busbar, module and utility figures. Soldering settings, placement tolerance and measured gains in breakage or yield are not published, so ask for them with the quotation.

START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK
A fit if you want to save floor space by joining layup and busbar work. Send HORAD your cell, string and busbar package, name any BC or folding modification, and test layout, joints and inspection together in one trial. If you only need strings placed and keep busbar work at another station, HORAD's BC high-speed gantry handles conventional and back-contact layouts on its own.

The manufacturer has not published a complete specification table for this entry. Request the exact offered drawing and operating limits.
01 · Manufacturer information
One frame from strings to joined array
HORAD says the machine places strings precisely, corrects alignment, connects the busbars and inspects quality, turning incoming strings into a finished array. It credits the design with higher efficiency, less breakage and lower cost, without stating how those gains were measured.
HORAD also says the system can be modified for BC panels and for busbar folding or hot pressing. Treat those as ordered changes. In the quotation, split the functions into standard, modified, and the cell and module designs HORAD accepts.

02 · Manufacturer information
Cells, strings and busbar it accepts
| Item | HORAD figure | Settle in the order |
|---|---|---|
| Cell size | 166–230 mm crystalline-silicon cells | Your cell geometry and any variants. |
| Cell thickness | 100–140 µm | Handling and contact limits, proven in a trial. |
| Busbar count | 9BB–24BB | How HORAD's term maps to your cell and string design. |
| Conveyor in and out height | 950±50 mm | Interface height and how it is adjusted. |
| String length | 820–1260 mm | Cell count, pitch and any combinations it cannot take. |
| Rolled busbar thickness | 0.18–0.40 mm | Material, coating and a dimensioned drawing. |
| Busbar width | 4, 5, 6 or 8 mm | Four fixed widths, so sizes in between need a separate request. |
| Roll weight | ≤30 kg | Core size, roll diameter and drawing. |

Accepting layout, joints and inspection
Define your array
Send the cell and string design, metallisation, busbar material and coating, and the module drawing. Say which BC, folding or hot-press changes you need.
Prove busbar feeding
Agree the reel mount, straightening, cutting and alignment for your thickness and width. Watch a roll change and the end of a roll.
Pin down the joining method
Ask which joining method is supported, the flux, heat or pressure it needs, and the limits for your materials. Settings for one cell design will not carry over to another.
Test the inspection
List the defects to catch and the data to record, run known good and bad samples, and agree how faults and rework are handled. Ask HORAD to state what the inspection actually detects.
Run it at production pace
Record cell damage, joint and electrical results, output and changeovers under agreed conditions. Write any promised gain into the contract only once the trial shows it.

Questions on the integrated machine
Does it run BC panels out of the box?
HORAD says it can be modified for BC. Confirm the ordered hardware, software and your cell design in the quotation.
Can I use any busbar width from 4 to 8 mm?
HORAD lists four widths: 4, 5, 6 and 8 mm. Ask separately for anything else.
Is 12 kW the peak load?
No. HORAD lists a 30 kW peak and a 12 kW average.
Is the inspection a full EL or electrical test?
The page does not say. Ask for the inspection functions, defect limits and test package in writing.
