Selection considerations
What the coating does
In multicrystalline casting, molten silicon would bond to a bare quartz crucible. A silicon nitride release layer, sprayed or brushed onto the inner walls and dried before loading, lets the solid ingot separate cleanly and limits contact between the melt and the quartz. The coated crucible goes into the crystal growth furnace with its graphite supports and hot-zone items from the crystal growth parts class. After casting, the ingot is cut into bricks, squared on ingot grinding equipment with silicon grinding consumables, and sliced on a wire saw running cutting wire. The material belongs to the wafer processing stage.
What to compare
Powder quality shows up in the coating, and the coating shows up in the ingot. Compare chemistry, especially metal impurities that can diffuse into the silicon near the walls, plus particle size distribution and phase content, since these affect how the slurry disperses and how the dried layer adheres. Ask how the maker measures each value and what lot-to-lot spread it holds. Agree packaging that keeps moisture out and a shelf life your stores can manage.
Qualifying on your own furnace
Slurry recipe, binder, layer thickness, drying and the furnace profile all interact. Run a trial on your own crucibles and furnace, then inspect for sticking, coating flakes and cracking, and check the outer zone of the ingot when bricks are cut. Link the powder lot to each ingot in your lot traceability records.
The listed powder
The directory lists Corefra CF-SN silicon nitride crucible-coating powder from Hebei Corefra Silicon Nitride Material. It ships against a published chemistry and particle-size table, while coating and furnace settings are worked out in your trial. Order against the current specification with lot certificates, and ask Corefra to confirm the size distribution, coating guidance and producing site in writing.
Plan the equipment scope
Identify the production step, cell or module format and output unit before comparing equipment. Use the listed source, scope and specifications to prepare a configuration-specific enquiry. Missing values are left unspecified and do not count as exact filter matches.
CF-SN is Corefra's silicon nitride powder for the release coating sprayed inside quartz crucibles in multicrystalline silicon ingot casting. The sheet gives N >39%, O ≤1.0%, C ≤0.2%, Fe, Al, Ca, Mn and Cu at ≤5 ppm each and a D50 of 2 µm, each with a GB/T method. Slurry formula, coating thickness, phase content and furnace cycle come from Corefra's guidance and your own trial.
