Selection considerations
What a crystal growth furnace does
A Czochralski furnace melts polysilicon in a quartz crucible and pulls a single-crystal ingot from the melt on a rotating seed. It is the first major tool in wafer processing. After growth, the ingot goes to ingot grinding for cropping and squaring and then to slicing; wafer handling systems carry it between those steps. Ingot quality set in the puller limits what every later step can achieve, so define oxygen, carbon, resistivity and defect targets with your wafer and cell teams first.
The listed furnace
NAURA lists the SGM 4101 Czochralski growth furnace for monocrystalline solar ingots of either doping type, with an optional magnetic-field configuration. Ask NAURA to confirm in writing the hot zone, the magnetic-field option and the feedstock route that suit your ingot, and accept the furnace on trial ingots that meet your limits at the agreed output.
Parts and consumables around the furnace
Much of the running cost sits in the hot zone and the parts that wear out. The directory groups these under crystal growth components:
Which hot-zone designs and crucible sizes has it already run with this model?
Can you source hot-zone parts from other makers, or does the warranty tie you to theirs?
How does the control system log each run, and can you export the data to your MES?
What utilities does each puller need, including cooling water, argon and power, and who provides the connections? The utilities and installation guide helps split that work, while the FAT and SAT trials guide explains tying final payment to trial ingots grown on your site.
Plan the equipment scope
Identify the production step, cell or module format and output unit before comparing equipment. Use the listed source, scope and specifications to prepare a configuration-specific enquiry. Missing values are left unspecified and do not count as exact filter matches.
The NAURA SGM 4101 is a Czochralski furnace for pulling photovoltaic monocrystalline silicon. NAURA lists 10–16 inch ingots, P- and N-type growth, a 1500–1600°C working range, ≤2 Pa vacuum and a 36–42 inch hot zone, with a magnetic-field option. Quote it with your ingot size, feedstock and crystal-quality targets.
