HORAD back-glass placement and flipping station
Suzhou HORAD New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. ↗This HORAD station grabs rear glass, straightens it on a floating mechanism and sets it over the module stack, and its name says it flips the glass too. HORAD describes the alignment step but leaves out the flip sequence and the final placement tolerance.
HORAD gives no glass thickness, maximum payload, pickup method, flip angle or full-cycle figure for this station. Ask for each in the quotation.

START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK
Agree which glass face comes in and which face goes down, get HORAD's pickup and flip sequence, and trial alignment and release with your real glass and stack.

Grab, flip, align and lower the rear glass
HORAD describes automatic glass grabbing and straightening on a floating mechanism. In its words, a double-layer workstation grabs "glass paper" and places it above the glass laminating workstation. Ask HORAD what that means in practice: whether the station strips separator paper, and what it holds at each step.
Flipping appears in the station name, yet the function text gives no flip angle, glass-face orientation or handover logic. Alignment takes place about 30 mm above the glass. That height describes where the glass is squared before lowering; it is not a ±30 mm accuracy and gives no final alignment number.

Back-glass station specification
| Item | HORAD figure | Define in the order |
|---|---|---|
| Panel size | 1650–2550 × 990 × 1450 mm | Supported length and width pairs, and glass thickness. |
| Alignment height | Approximately 30 mm above the glass | Datum, glass support and lowering sequence. |
| Supply / power | 380 V / 14 kW | Running load and electrical cabinet scope. |
| Air pressure | 0.6–0.8 MPa | Flow, air quality and what the glass pickup needs. |
| Machine size, L × H × W | 5300 × 4300 × 2220 mm | HORAD lists height second, so the machine stands 4300 mm tall. |
| Weight | 3.6 T | Floor loading, shipping and service access. |

Three handover points to specify
Glass coming in
Give size, thickness, weight, coatings, surface condition and the separator used between sheets. Ask how the station handles the paper and stops a double pick. Front glass enters the line at HORAD's auto glass loading station, and its suction and paper handling make a useful comparison.
Flip and face-down side
Send an orientation drawing and ask for the real flip sequence, the supports and which faces may be touched. Get the flip angle from HORAD in writing.
Placing onto the stack
Set the datum between glass and stack, allowed overhang, approach clearance and how the glass is released. Ask how cells and films are protected as the glass comes down. If your module has a butyl edge seal, the bead from HORAD's butyl dispensing station must already be in place before the glass comes down.

Trial from pickup to release
Get a sequence drawing
It should show incoming orientation, pickup, any paper removal, the flip, floating alignment and the final lowering and release.
Run your own glass
Use glass at your size and weight limits, with coated faces where they apply. Look for handling marks, chips and missed picks, and log the conditions.
Measure the finished stack
Check final alignment and overhang against agreed limits and look for shifted film or strings. Report the 30 mm approach height apart from placement accuracy. The covered stack heads on toward the laminator, so a shift caught at this layup step costs less than one found after curing.
Stage the bad transfers
Try a missing sheet, a sheet the wrong way up, a failed pick and a blocked downstream station. Agree reject recovery and safe manual access.

Back-glass station FAQ
Is approximately 30 mm an accuracy figure?
It is the height above the glass where HORAD says alignment happens.
Does the station flip glass 180-degree?
HORAD's text gives no flip angle or full sequence. Ask for both.
Does it remove separator paper?
The "glass paper" wording can be read more than one way. Ask for an operation drawing and the handling scope HORAD will supply.
