HORAD multilayer PV laminator
Suzhou HORAD New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. ↗HORAD builds this laminator upward instead of along the floor. Several lamination layers sit one above another with three-chamber transfer, and HORAD says each layer laminates on its own without disturbing the rest.
HORAD publishes the floor-space claim, module sizes, utilities, overall size and weight. Layer count, chamber temperature, vacuum and pressure ranges, recipes, cycle time and the baseline behind the floor-space figure are details to obtain with the quotation.
General illustration of module assembly equipment, not a photograph of this model. Ask the manufacturer for current photographs and layout drawings of the configuration offered.
START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK
Consider it when floor area limits your lamination capacity. Fix the layer count and process capability, compare complete installed layouts at the same output, and test each layer alone and all layers together with your real module stacks.

Published specifications
Values below are published by the manufacturer, each with the date its source was checked. Ask for the figures that apply to your configuration and material in the quotation.

Where the floor-space saving comes from
Stacking layers is how HORAD arrives at a 30–40% cut in occupied space against laminators of the same production capacity. Each layer laminates separately, so one layer can stop while the others keep working. HORAD also mentions three-chamber transfer and a low discharge temperature, with no number given for that temperature.
To judge the saving, ask HORAD which laminator it compared against, at what measured output, and whether shared utilities and service space were counted. Traditional and flat pressing are offered, as is frameless double-glass work; layer count, tooling and settings come from the configuration drawings. Agree how a fault or utility loss on one layer is handled, and test it at acceptance. For a single-level build on a long floor, compare HORAD's three-chamber laminator, which offers one to three layers within its stated height.

Figures on HORAD's multilayer page
| Item | HORAD figure | Ask HORAD for |
|---|---|---|
| Floor-space saving | 30–40% at equal production capacity | The baseline machine, output basis and full installed area. |
| Panel length / width | 1640–2550 / 990–1450 mm | Load pattern for your material stack. |
| Supply | AC380 V ±5%, 50 Hz | Total electrical package for the build. |
| Power | 1200 kW | Operating load; energy per module needs its own figure. |
| Air pressure | 0.6–0.8 MPa | Compressed-air volume and the other services the stack needs. |
| Machine size, L × H × W | 29000 × 3850 × 5400 mm | Layer count, service space and equipment outside the frame. |
| Weight | 300 T | Foundation, rigging and transport plan. |

Compare these before choosing a stacked laminator
Whole installed area
Count loading, unloading, services, maintenance access and outside utility skids for both options. Bare machine footprints give a misleading comparison.
Output of good modules
State your module and encapsulant stack, load pattern and the cycle and quality you accept. Two machines with the same nameplate capacity can deliver different good output.
How separate the layers really are
Find out which heating, vacuum, controls and transport the layers share. Agree what happens to product in other layers when one layer stops, faults or is opened for service.

Testing layers alone and together
Approve the architecture
Sign off layer and chamber count, tooling, shared services, the installed layout and the module recipes.
Prove each layer
Measure temperature, vacuum and pressure with agreed sensors, then inspect and test modules from every layer.
Upset one layer
Stop or fault a layer on purpose and watch the other layers and the transfer system. Decide how incomplete or rejected modules are handled.
Measure output and area
Record sustained output and the installed area on the agreed basis. Log utility and energy use apart from the 1200 kW power entry.

Multilayer laminator questions
Will I save 30–40% of floor area?
That is HORAD's figure against equal-capacity laminators. Compare real installed layouts at your output to see your own saving.
Do the layers share utilities?
HORAD's page does not describe the shared systems. Ask for the architecture and test it.
Is 1200 kW the energy use per module?
It is a power entry. Energy per module needs a set load, cycle and metering point.
Are layer count and recipes listed?
Not on the short product page. Ask for the configuration and approved recipe details for your modules.
