EQUIPMENT MODEL
NWSS-125G · G5 diamond-wire batch squarer
TDG NISSIN ↗When a G6 batch is more than your line needs, the NWSS-125G cuts a G5 load instead. TDG NISSIN lists a smaller poly block, fewer ingots per batch, a lower wire speed and a shorter frame than on its G6 diamond model.
Figures come from the NWSS-125G catalogue sheet. Ask TDG NISSIN whether the model is still built and how it handles stock sizes beyond the listed ones.
General illustration of wafer processing equipment, not a photograph of this model. Ask the manufacturer for current photographs and layout drawings of the configuration offered.
START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK
Choose the G5 machine by your incoming stock and finished columns. Then compare total material loss and accepted batch time against the G6 option, using a fixed fixture and wire recipe, and ask TDG NISSIN to confirm the results in writing.

The G5 batch on the NWSS-125G
With the mono fixture, the machine squares 25 ingots of 6 or 6.5 inch × 500 mm, or 16 of 8 or 8.5 inch × 500 mm. With the poly fixture it divides a G5 block into 25 columns. Each load has a fixture of its own.
The poly block is 840 × 840 × 500 mm and the finished columns are 156 × 156 × 500 mm. To estimate output, start from your cut geometry, your handling time and a material-loss trial. Batch count and the 720 m/min wire speed alone give too rough a figure to plan a line on. The 25 finished columns match the load of the maker's 25-block polycrystal cropper, which takes off heads and tails.

Choosing between G5 and G6
Incoming stock
Send your mono diameters or poly block size, the material condition and how many pieces a fixture may carry.
Finished columns
Set the square section, length, face angle and allowed damage. Compare usable silicon per batch, since the nominal piece count tells only part of the story.
Plant layout
Ask for fixture preparation, unloading, handling of separated columns, wire service and cooling layout. Weigh floor space and maintenance in the choice. Ask which coated diamond wire and spool the machine is set up for, since the wire recipe drives material loss.

Signing off a G5 batch
Agree fixture and wire
Fix the mono or poly setup, the stock drawing and the wire process.
Inspect the columns
Measure geometry and damage at edge and centre positions with the agreed methods.
Count everything
Include lost and rejected silicon, preparation, cutting and unloading when you calculate accepted output.
Rehearse faults
Show broken-wire recovery, tracking of unfinished pieces and routine cooling and wire upkeep.

NWSS-125G buyer questions
Does the G6 batch size apply here?
No. This table lists 25 or 16 mono ingots and 25 poly columns.
Is the kerf equal to the wire diameter?
The sheet gives no measured cut loss. Run a trial on your stock and process to find it.
Can it cut thin wafers?
The NWSS-125G squares ingots and blocks. The catalogue gives no wafer thickness figure. Thin wafers are sliced later on separate wire saws.
