NWSS-812 · Twelve-block single-end polycrystal cropper

TDG NISSIN ↗

A single-end cropper that takes the head or the tail off twelve polycrystalline blocks each cycle, with twin rotating tables so loading goes on during the cut.

The data sheet covers 156 × 156 mm blocks 200–400 mm long, twelve per cut. It gives no time for finishing both ends, no finished-length range and no surface tolerance.

General illustration of wafer processing equipment, not a photograph of this model. Ask the manufacturer for current photographs and layout drawings of the configuration offered.

START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK

The NWSS-812 suits lines that crop one end per cycle in batches of twelve. If you need both ends, agree how blocks are turned and reloaded, and judge the machine on fully finished blocks.

Head or tail, twelve blocks at a time

The NWSS-812 uses diamond multiwire to crop twelve polycrystalline blocks at one end per cycle, either the head or the tail. The page and the sheet agree on single-end work. That sets it apart from the six-block NWSS-6S and seven-block NWSS-7S, which TDG NISSIN describes for double-end cropping, though their English headings vary.

While one table is cutting, operators set up the next batch on the second table, so changeovers cost little waiting time. Cropping the second end still means turning and reloading each block, and TDG NISSIN gives no time for that step.

Next to the multi-block NWSS-250 and NWSS-360, this model runs thicker wire, 0.37–0.42 mm, from a much larger 7 km spool, with 0–150 N tension and 600 mm of lift. Its cooling water demand is lower at 70 L/min.

Planning one-end and two-end work

  • Which ends you need

Say whether you crop the head, the tail or both, with end allowances and the length you keep. List any sample cuts as separate work.

  • Turning blocks over

Ask how a block is turned and reloaded for its other end, and how first-end, second-end and rejected blocks stay identifiable.

  • Judging finished blocks

Measure faces and length once the whole chosen routine is done, recording handling, damage and silicon lost along the way.

Trial a complete routine

  1. Fix the end scope

Agree the head and tail drawing, stock, fixture and whether one or two passes are planned.

  2. Check the first cut

Measure cut position, face quality and damage at all twelve positions.

  3. Check the second end

If both ends are needed, watch the reorientation and second cut, then measure final length and geometry.

  4. Count good blocks

Time preparation, table rotation, reloading, waste and unloading, and include one fault with a restart.

Single-end cropping questions

Does one cycle finish both ends of twelve blocks?

No. TDG NISSIN describes the NWSS-812 as a head-or-tail, single-end cropper.

Do the twin tables remove all waiting?

They let loading overlap cutting. No timed result for a complete routine is published, so ask for one that includes any second pass.

Is finished length listed?

The sheet gives incoming length, 200–400 mm, and nothing more. Put your finished length on the drawing you send with the enquiry.
