Integrated layup and bussing

Suzhou SC-Solar Equipment Co., Ltd. ↗

One machine does the work of a layup station and a bussing station: it receives strings, corrects cell alignment, sets the layout and overlap, then irons the busbars. SC-Solar quotes 40 seconds or less per module.

SC-Solar lists frequency tracking, welding-energy monitoring and false-weld detection as smart features. It publishes no detection results or joint data for them, so request both for your materials.

START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK

Consider it when you want fewer transfers and a shorter line. Agree the full sequence from stringer to finished circuit, set placement and joint limits, list exactly which functions are included, and accept it on complete cycles plus fault recovery against your own layout.

01 · Manufacturer information

What one combined station takes on

The machine links to high-speed stringers, aligns and corrects the cells, and handles layout, overlap and busbar ironing in one frame. SC-Solar names frequency tracking, welding-energy monitoring and false-weld detection as its smart functions. No frequency range, energy window, detection rate or joint data appears on the page, so ask for them.

SC-Solar says the design cuts handling, floor space and cost, without naming the layout it compares against. Likewise, the 40-second cycle covers more work than a standalone layup or bussing cycle, so compare them only with the same input, output and quality limits. Ask SC-Solar to list which feed, placement, welding and inspection steps your configuration performs.

One drawing for placement and joints

  • In and out

Incoming strings and the finished module layout, with cell and string sizes, gaps or overlap, and glass reference edges.

  • Joints and monitoring

Solder and ribbon materials, resistance, strength and crack limits, plus the energy and frequency logs and reject records you expect.

  • Line and service

Stringer and buffer link, protocol, included functions, service access, consumables, and recovery when a module stops halfway.

One trial for layout and welding

  1. Fix the scope

Sign off sequence, materials, options and interface drawings.

  2. Measure the finished circuit

Check placement, joints and cell condition by position and by pattern.

  3. Test the monitoring

Introduce agreed defects and process drift and see what is logged, flagged and rejected.

  4. Run full production

Include string feed, combined processing, cleaning and half-finished module recovery; compare output and footprint on an agreed basis.

Buyer questions on integrated layup and bussing

Can I compare 40 seconds with a separate bussing cycle?

Only when both cover the same input, output and quality limits.

How much space and cost does it save?

SC-Solar gives no reference layout or figures. Ask for a side-by-side plan for your line.

Will the CCD system find every defect?

No detection rate is published. Check it with known defects at acceptance.
