HORAD EVA flattening and fixing station
Suzhou HORAD New Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. ↗This compact unit sits after EVA placement. A camera measures how far the film has drifted, the glass is squared by servo, a brush smooths the sheet and an electric heater tacks it in place. The heater can be driven out to a maintenance port by program.
HORAD's page covers the station family without a model code. It lists the correction ranges, glass format, utilities, footprint and weight. The two correction statements both include exactly 20 mm, and heater temperature, dwell time, final placement tolerance and cycle time are not given.
General illustration of module assembly equipment, not a photograph of this model. Ask the manufacturer for current photographs and layout drawings of the configuration offered.
START WITH YOUR PRODUCTION TASK
Worth adding where laid film drifts or wrinkles before string layup. Tell HORAD how far off your incoming film can be, ask which routine runs at exactly 20 mm, and trial final position and heating on your own EVA and glass.

Four jobs in one short station
HORAD lists camera-based compensation, servo straightening of the glass, a smoothing brush and electric heating. For upkeep, the heating module travels under program control to a maintenance port, so staff are not reaching over the conveyor.
On correction, HORAD says offsets up to 20 mm are fixed in one pass and offsets of 20 mm or more take several passes. Since both statements cover exactly 20 mm, ask which routine runs at that value. These figures describe how much drift the station can pull back, and say nothing about how close the film ends up to target.

Correction ranges and utilities
| Setting | HORAD figure | Question to raise |
|---|---|---|
| Single correction | Offset ≤20 mm | Which axis, and the logic at the boundary. |
| Multiple corrections | Offset ≥20 mm | Overlaps at 20 mm; what is the largest offset it can recover? |
| Glass format | 1650–2550 × 990–1450 mm | Approved film and glass sizes. |
| Supply and power | 380 V / 8 kW | Heater share of the load; a power figure gives no temperature. |
| Compressed air | 0.6–0.8 MPa | Volume of air drawn while heating and brushing. |
| Footprint, L × H × W | 3680 × 1880 × 2000 mm | Space for the maintenance port and heater travel. |
| Weight | 2 T | Foundation and shipping details. |

What your film brings to the test
How far off it arrives
Share the real drift and wrinkle range coming from your placement step. Ask how the camera tells a sheet it can straighten from one it should reject. If drift starts at the cutter, compare your setup with HORAD's precision cutting and placing station, which trims all four edges.
How much heat it can take
Get the heating range, time and contact method for your exact EVA and module stack. An electric heater on the parts list is still a long way from an approved recipe. Keep the tack heat clear of the point where your EVA starts to cure, and share the laminator recipe with HORAD for that reason.
What the brush touches
Set limits for smoothing, dirt and surface marks. Trial on your real film and any support or protective layers so brush wear and marking show up early.

Trial plan for the flattening station
Settle the 20 mm rule
Get the axes, the single or multiple pass logic at 20 mm, and the largest incoming offset HORAD will accept.
Feed planned offsets
Send real formats through at set offsets, skews and film states. Measure where the film ends up on the glass and how rejects are handled.
Log brush and heater settings
Record the approved brush setup and heater conditions, then inspect the film and module against your engineering limits.
Check access and restart
Move the heater to the maintenance port, isolate it safely and restart. Agree the effect on cycle and how an operator clears a rejected sheet.

Questions on flattening and fixing
Is 20 mm the final accuracy?
No. It is how much offset the station corrects. HORAD gives no final accuracy figure, so ask for one.
What happens at exactly 20 mm?
HORAD's two statements both include 20 mm. Ask for the control rule in writing.
Does 8 kW tell me the film temperature?
No. That is electrical power. Ask for the heater range and dwell for your film.
